Interviewed!

[personal profile] cosmic_celery has gotten me hooked on QI, and I've been diligently hunting down and watching episodes since last night. It's just so hilarious, and I can't get over how adorable Alan Davies is. Of course that isn't helpful towards my presentation at all, so I'm gonna have to be a big girl and get some serious work done after I post this.

Anyway, here's a meme!

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me!"
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...

I've been interviewed by [livejournal.com profile] eviinsanemonkey .

1. Who are your favourite Doctors?
Once I got into Old Who, both Six and Eight were my favorites, but Six has emerged as my definite favorite now. Eight and Ten are my second favorites, and after that it gets fuzzy, lol.

2. Are you a creative person?
Not really, I'm the logical, scientific type. I do like coming up with ideas for stories though.

3. Do you bore easily?
Nah, I'm very patient and calm. I can sit around just thinking for a long time.

4. What kinds of things do you like to read?
I like things with dragons in it, I read fanfiction on reccs (it can be anything ranging from angst to crack, but nothing overly shippy unless it's Doctor/TARDIS or Six/Rani :P), and I'll read any scientific article that strikes my interest.

5. What's your favourite genre?
Fantasy, with Science Fiction coming in second.

I love QI too. It's excellent. :D

Interview me, please?

[identity profile] dragonessa24.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems Britain has some really kickass tv shows.

Let's see...
1. What's some favorite movies of yours?
2. Do you like/have pets?
3. Why do you study what you study?
4. Favorite Doctor Who character?
5. Have you ever been outside of your country?

[identity profile] rushikayu13.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
We do indeed. *smirks in a very evil!Brit way*

[identity profile] cosmic-celery.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
My evil QI-watching Six/Rani-shipping plan has succeeded! MuaHAHAHAHAHA *cough* *ahem* Anyway...

Interview me!

[identity profile] dragonessa24.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Now now, you can't take credit for my Six/Rani-shipping! I saw Mark of the Rani long before I met you. :P

1. How did you get into Doctor Who?
2. What do you think of Matt Smith as Eleven?
3. Which BF audios have you listened to and which one is your favorite?
4. What's your favorite Stargate Atlantis episode, and why?
5. What sciences are you interested in?

(Did Six call the Valeyard "Shippingyard"? I only remember Scrapyard and Junkyard off the top of my head.)

[identity profile] cosmic-celery.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
He called him just about everything ending in -yard. Shipping yard was one of them, I think. I can't remember if I was quoting directly from the episode when I made this icon or if I was just thinking them up. All of them on the icon: Scrapyard, Junkyard, Barnyard, Shippingyard, Farmyard. And I know he used more than that...I think he said Knackersyard at one point...though I have no idea what that is.

[identity profile] dragonessa24.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, I think Barnyard rings a bell too. But yeah, I was confused by half of the terms too, lol. I need to watch the whole ToaTL again some time.

[identity profile] mareeana.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I have never seen any Six, shame on me! Would you reccommend me something to start? I love cracky, and Three is my favorite old!Doctor so far, if that helps matters. What was your fist Six story?

Interview me! ;)

[identity profile] dragonessa24.livejournal.com 2009-06-20 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'd be delighted to help! I actually started backwards, with The Mysterious Planet and then all the other Trial of a Time Lord serials (which is Six's second season). The most awesome episode is probably Mark of the Rani, it's pretty cracky and has marvelous Time Lord snark between Six, the Master and the Rani. I personally also think Twin Dilemma is a lot of fun, but there's post-regenerative messed upness and Peri-strangling, so many people don't like it. The Two Doctors is great too, it's with Two and Jamie and dear god does Six have a nice bum very pretty as it was filmed in Spain. Timelash is full of crack with HG Wells thrown in for good measure, but I believe it has a bad reputation, so maybe I'm the only one who enjoyed it.

So basically, start with Mark of the Rani and Two Doctors, and maybe Mysterious Planet, and if you like those you're good to start at the beginning. :) *hopes cosmic_celery would back me up*

1. Some fandoms you're in besides Doctor Who?
2. What's some hobbies of yours?
3. Would you rather that Donna stays mind-wiped or that she dies a noble death, but remembering everything?
4. Where would you really like to go on vacation?
5. What's something you're really good at?

[identity profile] mareeana.livejournal.com 2009-06-21 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, I opened my friends page and had none other than Mark of the Rani waiting for me in a comm. ;D So yes, I'm starting with that. Probably not right away but soon. Thank you!

*Jumps up and down*

Interview me please.

QI is probably my favorite tv quiz in the world. And Alan Davies is a long time crush. He is brilliant in Jonathan Creek.

[identity profile] dragonessa24.livejournal.com 2009-06-21 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, Jonathan Creek sounds like an interesting show, going by wikipedia. I'll have to try and find episodes for that some time.

1. Why do you love Six?
2. What things are you interested in that have nothing to do with fandom?
3. What's your favorite BF audio and why?
4. What do you do for a living/what's your course of studies if you go to college?
5. Would you change the course of history despite the Doctor ordering you not to, if you think it's for the best?
